Episode 3 started off with the continuation of the HoH competition where houseguests "fell off" one by one. Peter revealed in the DR that he was planning to throw the competition the whole time but waited until there were only 3 houseguests left (Peter, Talla and Jillian). Once peter threw the competition, Jillian made a deal with Talla saying that she would nominate her this week. Talla then jumped from he tree stump meaning that Jillian became the new HoH.
With Jillian as the new HoH, the houseguests speculated about who she may put up coming to a conclusion of Danielle and Gary. Later it showed a clip of Danielle in the DR saying that she will probably be nominated because Jillian is "jealous" of her and her relationship with fellow houseguest and Jillian's "showmance", Emmett.
After a while it came to the point of the Have/Have-Not competition, the competition was called "Batter Up" and the three teams had to get as much batter on them as possible and get it all into the waffle. The first team to fill up the batter fully would be haves for the week, whereas the team with the lowest amount of batter in their waffle would be the have-nots for the week. The have-nots were revealed as Tom, Peter, Talla and Alec.
Peter had said in the DR after the competition that he was happy about being on slop because it may bring him more sympathy. Afterwards it showed the houseguests entering the have-not room which looked like a old fashioned room. The room featured pictures of clowns on the wall, a round bed with orange sheets, a cot and a very old-fashioned TV that had a very fuzzy screen. Along with that Gary states that it is his ideal HoH room.
The episode ending on Jillian making her decision on who to nominate, nominating Aneal and Gary.
